Alma Robes
Our robes are made in the traditional Indonesian Ikat style. By first, hand spinning the cotton into thread, dying individual colours and then threading the patterns into the fabric as it is hand woven. This process can take up to two months to just produce fifty meters of fabric but the outcome means that no two robes can be the same.
Alma works with skilled artisans whose knowledge of weaving has been passed down from generation to generation. We pay fair prices for our fabric, which helps keep craftsmanship and traditions alive. We believe in working closely with our manufacturers and building good relationships with the communities involved in the process of making an Alma robe come to life.
